In a letter to Courtney Love circulated on the Internet, Lester Chambers of the Chambers Brothers said that their band, which recorded over 30 albums for several labels from 1960-77, not only had never received a penny in royalties, but that even though their song "The Time Has Come Today" has been used in over 30 films (and is now being used by ABC-TV to hype the fall season), they’ve never gotten anything for it.
