David Geffen has refused, on "moral" grounds, to distribute rap albums in the past and the label that bears his name doesn't have a single hip-hop artist on its roster. Yet in late September Geffen Records had no qualms about trumpeting a new joint venture with McGhee Entertainment, which is run by former Bon Jovi manager Doc McGhee. McGhee is a convicted drug smuggler.
